Accessible introduction to research on growth in Africa
Here's a link to a non-technical version of work I've been doing as part of a team of researchers at the International Monetary Fund. We outline and apply the recently developed empirical methodology of growth accelerations to study the apparent upsurge in growth in sub-Saharan Africa. There is also a discussion of the popular but opaque concept of pro-poor growth.
